Incorruptible Catholic Saints Holiness Sanctity

INCORRUPTIBLE SAINTS

A sign to the world of a saints sanctity, and the timeless truths of Christ and His Church.

3 minute video on incorruptible saints

Incorruptibility is a Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Catholic belief that supernatural intervention allows some human bodies to avoid the normal process of decomposition after death as a sign of their holiness.

Incorruptibility is recognised as supernatural in Roman Catholicism. Incorruptibility is seen as distinct from the good preservation of a body, mummification, or embalming.

Incorruptible bodies are often said to have the odour of sanctity, exuding a sweet or floral, pleasant aroma.

In Roman Catholicism, if a body remains incorruptible after death, this is seen as a sign that the individual is a saint who lived a life of heroic virtue.

However, this is also a sign to atheists, agnostics, and liberal Catholics of the realities of Christ and the ultimate truths of His Catholic Church.
